SINY Pizza Tour We invite people to explore some of the islands oldest and most treasured pizzerias; in between stops, some of Staten Island's unique sites will be visited. The pizza tours run on specified Saturdays from 11 am to 4 pm. Tours start and end at the Staten Island Ferry or the Hilton Garden Inn on South Avenue, and the cost is $40 per person. SINY History Tour SINY invites you to enjoy an afternoon on Staten Island, experiencing some of our most beloved cultural attractions while learning about our treasured history. This tour runs on specified Saturdays from 9:30 am to about 2:30 pm. Tours start and end at the Staten Island Ferry, and the cost is $100 per person. SINY Film Festival SINY is proud to partner with the Richmond County Savings Foundation in presenting the 5th Annual SINY Film Festival. The idea was originally conceived by SIEDC to help foster an artistic atmosphere on Staten Island as part of a strategy to draw visitors from New York's other four boroughs and New Jersey. This event, which showcases films from around the world, takes place in early June.
SINY Tri/Du-Athlon SINY is proud to host this annual race at Midland Beach in August. Duathletes compete in a course designed for running and biking. Triathletes compete in a course which involves running, biking, and swimming. Details of the race and results from past races can be found at the NY Tri website (www.nytri.org).
SINY Cultural Fair Enjoy shopping and live music in a historic venue - the St. George Theatre. Our 3rd Annual Cultural Fair will take place some time in November. Many of the island's wonderful cultural organizations will participate in this event with information about their organizations and gift items available for sale. There will also be live music performances and food for sale at the Theatre. |
